We are thrilled to share our partnership with the Cardiovascular Perfusion Department in the College of Health Professions at SUNY Upstate as they integrate several CALIFIA® Patient Simulators into their ECMO and CPB training programs.

The Biomed Simulation team collaborated closely with SUNY healthcare professionals, including associate professor and program director Bruce Searles and associate professor Edward Darling, to customize CALIFIA® to meet their specific training objectives.

We explored the advanced features of CALIFIA® to ensure a comprehensive understanding and seamless integration into their curriculum. The training sessions were a resounding success, with participants engaging in dynamic scenarios including VA ECMO simulations and heart-lung bypass cases.

Special thanks to Gerard Roy for providing exceptional IT support, ensuring a swift and efficient setup. It couldn’t have gone any smoother!

The expertise and dedication of SUNY’s healthcare professionals, combined with the innovative technology of CALIFIA®, have created a student-centric learning environment. We’re excited to support SUNY in fostering ongoing skill development and knowledge sharing. Together, we’re shaping the future of medical education!
